Many regard the 911 SC one of the best Porsches ever built. They are simple and pure like the early 911s with extremely reliable aluminum block 3.0-liter motors and rust resistant chassis. I know many SC owners that have put well over 350,000 miles on theirs. I think these cars are some of the best values out there on the classic car market. However, it is getting harder to find SCs that are still original and well maintained.
Don’t let the mileage on this car fool you. When I first saw this Porsche at our local PCA breakfast club, I was stunned by the condition. It is extremely clean and obviously well cared for. Part of the reason for this is that it has spent its whole life in Orange County garages. Also, there is a 2-inch stack of receipts dating back over 20 years!
The current owner purchased this car in 2005 with 167,000 miles. For the next 7 years, he spent nearly $25,000 maintaining this SC!

Major service including new spark plugs and valve adjustment

This car drives fantastic. It is very tight and responsive. It is better than most Porsche with half the mileage. The exterior is in great condition. Most of the paint is original and looks amazing. The front was repainted some time ago due to rock chips. The hood has faded a bit and doesn’t exactly match the fenders. The Fuch wheels have been restored and look incredible. There are very few blemishes on this car. The interior is also very tidy and in excellent shape. The dash is free of cracks or warping. Also, the seats are free of any tears. Recently, the owner replaced the front seats with factory correct power seats in black leatherette. They look great. The only flaw I found was that one of the power controls on the driver seat does not work (tilt )…that’s about it.
This SC comes nicely equipped with original books/manuals, tons of receipts, original spare and jack, extra keys, and original California license plates form 1982.
California registration is paid through December 2012.
