A stunning early style Hot Rod based on a galvanised 1989 G50 3.2 Carrera and just built by our RS-Teknik sister company.

This brilliant little car draws its styling inspiration from the 911R of the 1960s and the US R-Gruppe scene.

It is based on a 1989 3.2 Carrera meaning a (Porsche quoted) 231bhp 3.2 litre engine and the preferred, more robust G50 5-speed transmission.

The car has been fitted with lightweight GRP panels to give it the look of a pre-1974 911 and completely repainted on top and under the arches in its factory black paint.

It is fitted with 15x7 front and 15x8 rear genuine Minilite wheels.

Inside are period style seats, lightweight door cards and carpets and a Prototipo wheel. The between-the-seats heater control is now a period style lever.

The engine has been completely rebuilt in the last 5,000 miles and is fitted with stainless steel heat exchangers and a twin-exit silencer giving it a wonderfully angry engine note.

The car drives brilliantly. There is a significant weight saving over the original 3.2 Carrera so it performs with usefully more vigour and the smaller wheels give a sweeter feel to the handling and steering.

The 3.2 litre engine gives thrilling acceleration when needed or smooth low-down torque when not. Its modern fuel-injection makes it easier to live with all year round than an early car with carbs or MFI and the shell was originally galvanised so ought to stand up better to the toils of British weather.

The car has a comprehensive service history and a large folder of bills and during the conversion it was thoroughly checked over both mechanically and structurally to ensure it is in exceptional condition. The conversion has just been completed and the car has covered only a handful of shakedown miles since.

It is sold with a 12 month warranty covering any mechanical failure except wear-and-tear.
