why hasn't it sold?
does it have a hidden history?
The chassis number adds up as a a '73 car (according to my red book), but the engine number makes no sense- any thoughts?

You probably need to go see and to drive it , you will never know otherwise.
I hummed and ha'ad about going to Paris to see Alex's previous 'for sale' car , Tweety-Pie , based on a 964RS.
In the end a dealer got first refusal on it..
I think the price is one reason why it has not been snapped up , but I guess you can always bargain after seeing it.

Funny thing is that if it was a standard 2.4S it would be a bargain, it's somewhat devalued with all that kit on.

just work out what the cost of reverting to S .................so far gone ,maybe even well done but a bizzA ..........................just not viable at anything like this price

Last front wings i had to buy from Porsche were almost £1000 each, they did nt fit ,even nearly took 3 days cutting and welding before we got round to paint ! Rear wings even more fun !

To recoup the outlay the S would have to be perfect ,unmessed with and original ..........sorry

I don't know this car but there are 2 main issues here I think. One is that it's not the iconic shape most people probably want. The second is that its a pointless exercise turning a 72 car into a replica of a 74. This car would be much better presented with different bumpers, ducktail and anodised Fuchs ie as a 72 rs. Finally although I like the silver am not sure it looks retro enough in that colour

I guess it was a 'good idea at the time' converted before 911 S values romped off into the distance.

I take your point Vic, turning it back would be an expensive exercise, and it would always be a'restored' car rather than an original.

Does the engine number 20080018 make sense to any one?

I like the silver, my 911T is the same, would it have been incorrect to have that silver on a 1974 car?

Its all abt timing , when i bought my 3.0 rs it was less than £50k as original as the day it was born ......................if only i still had it !
