Baby Annabelle arrives very quickly

Post by Nige »

Some of you may know already via Facebook and IB forum but I thought I update you all with our news.

Well baby number two arrived. After a little show Monday morning and the wife feeling pretty normal I went to work expecting the telephone call at some point to rush back home. I received that towards the end of the day and made my way home to find the wife calm after her waters had broke alittle. So we headed off to hospital for a check over as she wasn't having contractions but it's procedure anyway. Things all looked good and we returned home to continue with the early signs of labour. Well things started hotting up a couple of hours later so we called the grandparents over to look after Leo whilst we head to hospital again at about 9:30pm. We headed for the car loaded with all the overnight gear and that's when things became very imminent. Couldn't manage the car so she waddled back into the house when the baby decided she was arriving, so with the help of the lady on the end of the phone after calling 999 we, the wife mainly delivered baby Spencer at the bottom of the stairs! Great result if a little scary at certain points but if all happened so quickly. Both Alison and Annabelle are well and back home after a little spell in hospital

Annabelle Heidi Spencer, born 10.25pm 8th August 2011, at the foot of the stairs. 6.7lbs
