Welcome!

Plenty of things that'll be worth the trip over but especially Classics at the Castle.

In case you haven't already been or seen this...

Hey Dick that looks like a beautiful car, welcome to DDK.

Can you tell me anymore about the whitewalls, are they whitewall tyres, (and if so what make) or are they applied ?

Rgards, Mike.

:) Thanks Dick, as Ian says, I`m on a quest to put whitewalls on Mrs Mycars car and seeing them on your car has reignited the flame of desire. :drunken:

It`s just, I`m trying not to spend a grand doing it.

Regards, Mike.

Just to get you up to speed,

A Grand Idea

Great looking car!

Mike-
Same issue discussed on the 356 Registry Forum.

http://porsche356registry.org/356talk/t ... ny#p118924

(It's going to cost you.)

That said I used the porta wall inserts years ago and the were serviceable and inexpensive. If you think there's any way she might change her mind and not like the overall look once they're on, that might be an option.
Happy Motoring,
Bruce

Good point Bruce. Didn`t realise you`d met my wife ..... I`m starting to think waterbased paint is probably best for now.

Beautiful car, love the white-walls too.

Still tempted to have mine whitewalled. Been quoted £70 for the set to be painted. Might give my spare a try first!

Your car looks really great, but just a question, is it a real one? I don't care one way or the other as I like looking at the shape of either, but the body on real ones has wired edges to the wings where the wheels go. Yours look from the photo a little thicker.

Just interested as originals are rare cars these days and don't see many of them on the roads now.

Welcome along! ( If its original be very careful with it! )

cheers

Real or Not

Hi Roy,
I wish it was,but in fact it is a Vintage 57 Speedster replica.
When ordering I tried to get it as close as possible.
Thank you to everyone for the nice comments.
