Exhaust Hanger for 914

Post by Robster »

Has anyone got the metal bracket that attaches to the back of the gearbox and upon which mounts the exhaust?

It's to fit the Robster mobile - 914 2.0L 1974 (must be for the early 2.0L exhaust with twin outlets on each heat exchanger..)

Best regards

Possibly

can you have a look on the mittelmotor website and tell me what part number it is - I'll go through the bits and pieces I have then.

This might help you or not.

I made mine from some threaded bar and some strong angle brackets, obviously no good if your looking for origonality.

When I had my 914 - - I had to resort to making one . . used some right angled steel stuff . . cut, drilled and bent to shape.

Rob

I butchered mine to fit the rubbish exhaust I bought. However, when I returned said exhaust I had to do a bit of a remake. I now have a new stainless silencer on order from Mittlemotor (due any day) so I decided to order a new hanger too. If you want my old one as a stop gap you're welcome to it. It ain't overly pretty but it works and who sees it?

Regards

Hi roger,

thanks for the offer, but I've had a change of plan (i.e new exhaust has to wait due to new bathroom....women, can't live with them, can't...etc)
