New member from Yorkshire

Post by 73SJM »

Hello,

I'm the new member Hot66 has helped search for an early 911 and has posted some photo's from just after I picked it up earlier today.

My search was initially for a pre '73 911 so it was tax free and although the '73 2.4T I bought is taxable we found a great car and I'm very pleased with it as it's got some nice extra options.

After buying it in early December it has finally made it to it's new home in Leeds following a service and work on the brakes and suspension. It's been in the UK for 19 years and only done very limited mileage so it may get a shock this year as I intend to use it far more frequently during the summer months.

I'm now compiling a list of what else I want to do to the car, with changing the later style mirrors for original ones being one of the first things!

I'm sure I'll be asking for some advice and trying to locate parts during the next few weeks and months so you'll probably see more from me on here.

Welcome Simon, good to hear that the car is now up and running  Looked pretty good at Mike's when I saw it and admired the seats.
Sounds like you've already started on the slippery slope of making thinf 'right' (or as you want them)

Welcome to DDK Simon- now as an owner not a passenger!
Looks like you've found a good one there, hope you enjoy it, now less of this washing business and go get some miles on it :)

Welcome to DDK Simon and congratulations on the car - a fine specimen to add to the Northern DDK contingent. I just missed it at Mike's but I'm sure I'll see it in the flesh soon

Looking forward to the touring adventures of 2011
Cheers,
Vicki.
