Hello!

Post by Albeson »

After 2 failed attempts the buy early 911s and a brief, but 'interesting ' experience with a 924 turbo, I finally sucummed to buying a very rough 68 registered 911 with a 2.4 motor. When it arrived on the trailer it was a lot rougher than it has looked in the pics ( I know, you should always have a look at it before you push that button on e-bay...). It also appeared to be a 78 shell, but tht's another story. As luck would have it, Max at Revival was selling an engineless blue right hand drive 912 which had previoulsy housed a 2 litre 6. The eagle eyes will have spotted that it was sold earlier in the year through the DDK parts for sale pages. Now the at both cars up here Andrew at Edinburgh Sportscars is stuffing the 2.4 into the 912 for me. Hopefully it will be on the road later in the year.
If there is anyone locally wants to chat about rusting West German tinware, get in touch.

Best wishes

Raymond
