Seems pricey, for an impact bumper ?! Or will everyone refuse to the comment as a protest at the hideousness of all that rubber and lack of chrome !!

Dreaming of driving a pre-A 356, actually commuting in a Cayman and for the weekend, a 911 'thing', with a Carrera 3 engine ( we think).

IIRC That car has done the rounds a bit, but it was/is mint; I still think it's probably over valued though.
However, impact bumper models are definitely on the rise. Carrera 3's are solid money and a great 3.2 will be 20k+ now. Mint G50 turbos are fetching 30k+. A decent SC will be 13+ too and LHD only adds value and widens the market.
There are a lot of poorer cars at lower values though - the cheaper ones have often been neglected and need money spending on them now.
As always though, it's worth what anyone is willing to pay for it
Ambitious pricing by dealers in the past few years has done the early 911 market values no harm (for those that own them already!), so maybe this is the attempt to start bring the big bumper early cars to the same level.
