1st series RS - Factory M471 Sport version. LHD
Light Yellow.
Chassis No 911 360 0229. Engine No 663 0248
Fully restored with matching number original engine which has been rebuilt to 2.8 RSR spec. This includes;- Factory original, twin ignition, RSR heads, RSRhigh butterfly intakes with air cleaner box (SCRS), RSR engine glass fibre fan cover and tin ware, factory original RSR race Inj pump, RSR exhaust, front mounted oil cooler.
To accommodate the considerable increase in power the chassis is fitted with RSR / 930 brakes, RSR trailing arms and suspension.
The body and appearance remain unchanged and original.
First owned by Edmond - Harris in the mid 1990's the car was sold to it's last owner in 1997. Since then, it has been kept largely in storage and covered only 2,000 klm aprox. The previous owner bought the car in the late 1980's and began the restoration work. The condition remains today as restored in the early 90's and when completed.
An original LWT from the 1st series which has had the benefit of a full restoration and uprated RSR engine with factory original parts. Absolutely fantastic to drive and very quick indeed !
If preferred the car could have the engine returned to original single ignition RS spec. The factory RSR parts alone have a considerable value.
For more information please contact Russell Edmond - Harris.
A real lightweight! I'm up for buying it before commonsense takes over.
(I don't know yet what it will cost).
I'd definitely have to liquidate my current cars and raid the piggy bank, and probably have to cover up the price tag from the missus.
However I'd use it for trackdays , which I suppose would be a bit stupid as you can get RS / RSR copies for a lot less money . Is it be eligible for historic racing with the significant engine modification ?
See that previous owner had it 13 years and hardly used it ( 2000km ). So he probably saw it as an investment - store it then sell it - so maybe I going completely against the market here by using and abusing it ?
Like the ad suggests - pull off the RSR bits and sell them, put it back to factory and it'll go racing. I don't suppose it would be competitive as a 2.8 anyway.
If Jason and i got married maybe we cud afford it then ?
I wud nt be surprised if it starts with a 2........
Dont know abt value but if its half decently done , they ve had enough time to sort it , then i wud luv to drive it ............light , narrow body + 2.8 twin plug .......cant go on need the kleenex!

OK , if you need to know the EH asking price , that Freisinger car is a bit more expensive at today's Euro/£ exchange rate - only by about £5k though......
Jason? I haven't been around much recently but have just spotted your 'empty garage' sig. You've something in the pipeline I hope? Did the RSR leave these shores
