Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery...

Post by Sam »

Hello folks,

I hope many of you know of us, if not have a look at :

http://www.psautoart.com/
http://www.paul-stephens.com/

We sell used air cooled cars (as well as water cooled GT2s and 3s) - but also build back-dated 3.2s and SCs and pre-74 style cars based on the 964.

We've not done much in the way of events over the last couple of years but are hoping to change that from now onwards.

If there's any interest we'd like to invite the club over to our workshops at some stage to show what we do to make a late-ish car look early and go well.

In the meantime, we'll be at the Classics at the Castle in September ( http://www.ddk-online.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30831 ) with our latest builds - a 3.2 given the look of a narrow-arched pre-74 S and a freshly restored 356 speedster, both in matching ivory.

Hopefully we'll see some of you there.

Thanks both.

I've been in touch with Stephen about the Goodwood day and he's happy to have our cars there so we're hoping to make an appearance in something suitably noisy.

Hi Sam

Good to see you here, I told you they would be OK!

I went up to Paul Stephens today to inspect a couple of their cars for a customer. I met Sam for the first time and he is a real enthusiast about these early cars and keen to learn as much about them as possible.

Pleased to hear it!

I've always been an aircooled man - I currently have a '79 Turbo, a '97 C2S as well as *whispers* a '71 VW bus - but hadn't appreciated the early stuff until I started here and went up the road in a 2.7 MFI car. Needless to say, the Turbo will soon be up for sale and an ST rep is the plan.
