Newbie from Holland

Hello,

I have been reading here for two years now (as well as the Early S forum) and decided last year to get an early 911 for my 40th birthday.
All my life I have been interested in sportscars and motorsport and I just felt now was the time to get my 911.
As I feel the RSR is one of the best looking Porsches, particularly the longnose 2.8 RSR, I decided to get a base car and convert this into a RSR. While reading on the forums I changed for the ST look as I felt there were already so many RSR conversions.

So I bought a black 1971 911 T with 2.7 litre engine from Canada with the idea to start working on the car. The fact that this was going to be my first ever project did not temper my enthousiasm, however now that I am one year ahead I've come to the conclusion that I simply don't have the time to start something like this. Apart from a full time job I also work as a race instructor and with a small family this leaves me not much spare time to build my own ST.

For many of you working on your Porsche is probably half the fun, but I am what I would call a driver/racer and not a mechanic. So although I thought this would be fun to do with my son (6 years old), I have decided I'd better sell this car and start looking for a ST or RSR conversion that has been finished.

So if any of you can help to find a new owner for my 911 T or finding me a ST or RSR converted early 911 I would be very happy.

Yes, I thought it would be possible to add info at a later stage, but just found out I can't.

I bought the car last year and drove it from Rotterdam to the north of Holland and I drove it on special plates one day. So overall I covered a couple of hundred kilometres in it.

As for the price I am open for offers.

Seperate from the car I also have the original 2.2 litre engine, which according to the former owner only requires chain tensioners to function fine again plus another 2.7 litre engine with a 901 still attached to it.

Hopefully, this will give you a clear picture of the car.

Thanks a lot Helen. Next time I will remember to first complete my add before posting it.

For now I'll just keep it the way it is, I have sent more info and detailed pictures to people that showed interest.
