Hi From Aberdeenshire!
Hullo!
Having mooched around here for the last few years, swotting up and generally feeling a bit green about the gills looking at all your early 911's I have a cheeky question!
I would really appreciate catching up with someone local (50 miles or so?) to me (Banchory) who could show me around their pre '74 911 and perhaps take me for a spin.
I've driven various 911's over the years but the earliest car was a rather tidy 993 which is not really representative and having been saving for a car I need to make sure this is the right thing for me before I commit to a purchase. Without having ever seen any cars for sale in my area, I'm reluctant to travel down south to find I don't like them (please god no!)
Anyway, looking forward to hearing from anyone online that might be able to push me in the right direction - thanks
Hudat.

Hi, we have several Members in Scotland (although i think most live the other end of scotland to you) and i'm sure at least one of them will be happy to help but most of DDK is off to Classic Le Mans so there might be a short delay before one of them gets in touch.

Hi Hudat,
I have just returned after a weekend in ABZ. I used to live there for 10 years moving south 3 years ago. The early scene is not that big in the North East, as you move closer to Glasgow there are a couple of other DDKers that way.
They do turn up occasionally, there was a garage in Cataline which had a 70T for sale, for sometime but has now gone.
I do plan to come upto ABZ in mine this year, but I dont know know when, but I would be happy to meet up.
Highfield's car is a good one!

Hi Hudat
Mike here from Ayrshire as mentioned above by Brendan. Took me a while to catch this thread, sorry. Johnny is the nearest member to you that I know of in Dundee. There are very few of us up here so a get together (which has been discussed) would need to be somewhere in the central belt to accommodate everyone. You are welcome to pop down anytime to have a run in an early car of mine. I very rarely get to the North East in them.
pm sent
Regards
Mike

Don't worry about the banter between Brendan and me. We go back a long way and it's all light hearted.
So, would you be up for a cars and coffee meet somewhere in the central belt one Sunday? You could have a look at a couple of cars and Brendan could bring most of his in a plastic bag and you could see what one looks like in pieces alongside one with them all joined up
Regards

Aye Aye,
taken as it was intended.
Absolutely I would easily take a wee trip down the road, my folks are still down there anyway. Give's them an opportunity to "hang-out" with the kids while I nip off for a few hours.
I'm down there the second week of August anyway but I guess that's a bit soon?

Hi Hudat, just caught up with this thread, nice to see you here.
Your more than welcome to a run in my car,in fact I'm quite looking forward to a shot myself once all the works are complete.
A bit of a get together with all the Scotch members seems like an excellent idea.
