They look like some on here

Guessing early barndoor or beetle, but they're usually fully solid.

Early VW Bus, I believe. Worth selling on eBay if you don't need them

HI, they could be early OPEL wheels or poss FORD as they both had the same large 5 stud pattern.VW bus and beetle wheels are all solid.

Sorry, but not true. From March 1955, the 15in wheels used on VW Buses had pronounced cut-outs and even the 1960s 14in VW Bus wheel had slots next to the rim...

I'm not 100 per cent certain about these wheels, but I bet there is a makers mark somewhere on them.

Incidentally, Ford wheels LOOKED similar but were not the same PCD. Some people did indeed bolt VW wheels to their Ford Pops and Pilots but the mounting holes didn't line up correctly.

It's Opel. I aquired one of these to use as a spare, believing it to be a VW wheel.

VW/Porsche hubcaps don't fit. If you look closely between the clips and mounting holes it should be stamped Opel.

Not all 16" rims are solids...

But, yes, bus and beetle rims were (just reread the posts!)

correct me if i´m wrong , but weren´t we talking about vw wheels? i certainly was. my preA has vented 16"s but all my split bugs and barn doors have always had solids(vw).
