Price guide needed please.....

Post by M Delaney »

Ok.... so my '74 911 didn't sell on ebay... didn't even get close to what I was hoping for!

Part of me is annoyed and disappointed, and the other part is relieved at not having to part with my car!

However...the object of this excercise, was to 'Sell Porsche' and get cash!!!

Am I being totally unrealistic in today's market for asking for what I'm asking (approx 14k) as this is what I bought the car for along with putting a lot into it!

I am all too aware of the economic climate, having lost my job, and unable to get another!

Any guidance on prices would be welcomed!!! (Car is up on the For Sale Page!)

Difficult to say. It's not 100% clear if your car is RHD or LHD and your ad is short on information. RHD classic cars seem to be having a hard time and many have been on the market for well over a year. Best site for classics is www.carandclassic.co.uk. This site is free to advertise , has a strong following and gets an international audience.
If your car is LHD I would have thought the price is right considering the current state of sterling. If its RHD it may take longer.
Either way a little more detail and better pictures would go a long way.
Great colour. Good luck with the sale.

It's a left hooker, and in very good condition... I had it on ebay, with lots of photos, but no takers, even though there were 28 bidders!

It's aloso on various Classic Car ad sites, including the one you mentioned... but not a sniff so far!

Shame.... this really is a nice car!
