I think that one will be very interesting.
It's very desirable, quite nice and yet perhaps not quite right. Some questions to be answered and some parts that need finding I think. But I'm guessing it's real enough and therefore rare. And the steering wheel's on the correct side.

I don't know much about the car but I'm intrigued already. Why sell at auction? Why haven't those in the know snapped it up? Why not restore it to perfection before selling? It will be fun watching this...

i do know the car , pretty well .......................shall be very keen to see what the market dictates ...................its possibly worth £120 right now !
Unless something was done to it in last year ..................wish them luck cud go for over £ 200 if someone wants one badly enough !

Is the steering wheel really on the correct side if it's going to appeal to the wider european market, strength of the euro etc,etc - ?
On the basis of "designing the way out before the way in" I'd really only ever buy another RS if the steering wheel was on the left.
Just my opinion - for what it's worth !

these RHD owners are all a bit 'sensitive' about having their wheels on the wrong side

while perfectly true abt lhd there were only so few rhd adds to the cache in some minds , and genuine lightweight , so rarer and rarer................without both those it wud be £65 k and a very expensive project iMO

just tried to cost a project on a lhd rst allowing for full body and some mechanical work on above basis needed abt £60k spending, similar parts missing on both ....................unless u ve got a blank cheque book its like playing Russian Roulette

Thats abt the work u might have to go thru with this one at H&H............went to see it with a very good Mate , virtually had the right money in his pocket..........................made an offer ,imo reasonable one, and asked to take it 20 mins down the road to brightly lit place with 4 poster and a specialist.....................bloke ran a mile !

Has had 2 colour changes now back to original, some expensive , but small bits missing ..................just felt it was abt to errupt in matching rust , poor inspection conditions i openly admit cud nt prove a thing since cud nt see!

Runs well, stops well ........................never checked the rally stuff though easy enough to do , just cud nt be bothered if car was stuck at price no budge !

Frankly seller had some gorgeous kit Jags Ferraris , some needing tidying up........this was seperatlely garaged in a kinda garden shed .............i repeat cud be the buy of the century , but i fear whoever gets it will find more parts missing than we noted and maybe some 'quick fixes ' along the way.......theres nothing cant be fixed for money , trouble is i reckon lots of it !

Project i costed things in boxes , back to are all the bits there and total body resto required ................another money pit

Anyone with strong nerves go for it ........i ve lost the appetite for Casino cars .............i want to know what i am buying...............very dull Moi!

Just to tie this one off then, sold for £200k + premium (= £220,000).
