I don`t ever recall seeing a 356 for anywhere near this kind of money. I suppose thats what racing provenance can demand.

1 of a approx 80 Cars built over a 10 year period make this a little rarer than the normal 356 Coupe - that may just be the reason for the price ?

Having read the blurb a little closer - I note that it was built originally as a GS and then converted to GT Specs by The Factory

Whether you call this a `real` GT, or not, is a mute point

My own feeling is that, it is certainly overpriced but `a seller has to start somewhere and you can never go up - you can only come down when negotiations start
The price should probably settle at around £200,000 / £220,000 in the current market

In my humble opinion (and I have known to be wrong) todays cost to produce this car - in this condition and with its Carrera Motor and all the rare bits would be £160,000 / £180,000 and that does not include a profit for the guy building it

Well sort of: -

First you need to understand `The Market`and know your product (whatever it is) - then you need `The Balls` and second you need to have `The Money or have the ability to borrow it`

A little bit of luck also helps but some people are unable to recognise luck, when it occurs

You can never pay too much - you can only buy too soon
