How reliable is a COA?

I have just got my COA for car and I was wondering just how accurate it is?

Firstly it says the seat inlays are perforated Leatherette, is this like basket weave or is it plain

Secondly is has option 470 Comfort equipment, is this the same as 'appearance group' on 70 MY cars? and it was delivered with option 568 - coloured windows?

It also was delivered with option 400 - Alloy Wheels 6x15 and delivered to UH San Antonio (does anybody know of this place?)

It is a matching numbers car!

I know things could have been changed over the years!

Thanks for the help! After a bit of investigation I have found the following.

The 'comfort equipment' seems to be the hydro-pneumatic suspension with 14" fuch but the wheels were upgraded to 15",

The perforated leatherette, is the plain version which I have got but a legacy of previous MY's like Helen's,

UH San Antonio has got me stumped, the only thing I come up with each time is the University of Houston, or University Hospital San Antonio.... it wouldn't be delivered there would it?

delivery address is usually a Porsche dealership rather than the first owner.

Then your COA cannot be believed because hydropneumatic suspension was only available on E's for the 69 model year. It never made past that year as standard equipment.

Mike - they were fitted on '69-'71 911E's as part of the 'comfort' option ...

They were originally offered as an option on T & S models - it was on the S model that it was no longer offered after 1969 but still offered as an option on T models until '71.

I've never heard of a '72 model with hydro-pneumatic struts - what's the VIN (ie how early in the '72 MY was it manufactured) ?

I personally don't have any faith in the CoA's - most of the ones I've (begrudgingly) paid for have had major errors in them ... including incorrect engine numbers !

Porsche corrected them after I furnished them with the evidence that they were wrong !

VIN numbers is 9112101152 - would you make that a 71 or 72 build?
