A good friend recommnded this forum when I told him I was potentially interested in buying a LHD 911 2.4S. Looked around a bit yesterday before registering. Seems like a very nice highly knowledgable group.
My past Porsche experience is all modern (993 C4 & 993 Turbo). Ihave owned a couple of older Ferraris in the past so I am familiar with all the "charms" of owning older cars.

Hi Boxer
welcome to DDK. i too had new Porsche before i joined DDK and saw the light.
i have never looked back and don't regret it at all. i get alot more pleasure out of owning old Porsches then i ever did with the brand new stuff. the great thing about old Porsches is that they don't \(compared to new cars) really have a whole lot to go wrong. so if you treat them well they will reward you with reasonable reliability & a lot of pleasurable hours of driving.
