1966, LHD ,5 Speed, 5 dial, 912. A U.S. import of some years ago this car currently has eleven months mot and tax and its good and bad points...
Good points , excellent foors as I replaced them to a high standard a couple of years back , the sills are in good shape and you can use the jacking points, there was some rust under the rear torsion tube and this was dealt with at the same time, the tank support has previously been replaced very neatly, all repairs were waxoyled etc.
Spax adjustable shocks all round , standard front antiroll bar , accessory rear antiroll bar , brakes gone through and new lower ball joints three years ago the car steers and rides well.
Engine rebuilt eighteen months and not many miles ago, new bearings ,rings , camshaft and followers, the heads had new exhaust valves and all new guides ,the crank , rods ,pistons etc were all balanced, the distributor has been rebuilt in the past and Dellorto carbs with K and N filters are fitted , motor runs very well and recently had its first service.
Bad points , its that love it or hate it Tan colour (you know the one) the front wings are puffy down their trailing edges from old repairs and rust , the doors have some rust in their lower frames , and there are some angry looking scabs along the bottom of the left rear quarter window ,it generally looks scruffy, that said the brightwork overall is really good and is plated brass not anodised ali and the tinted glass is good too, Its fitted with 4.5 chrome steels which are good for their age although the tyres are old and do not suit the car .
The interior has very good black seats , ok tan panels, and the dash pad is awful, the instuments and switch gear are in good condition, standard steering wheel in good shape ,everything works,
