Deep breath.....
Due to lack of usage and a house renovation project, I'm reluctantly selling my original numbers matching 1973 911 2.4S Coupe. It was recently described by reputable marque experts Autofarm as a "reference" car for its originality and excellent overall condition.
This is a very honest, low mileage, original, non-restored example of this very desirable car. It can be considered as an alternative to a professionally restored car for those who value the rare opportunity to own a completely original car in close to new condition. It is a candidate for a museum showcar, concours competitor, or as I prefer, simply a fantastic driver’s car!

Ownership History
The car was supplied new to Italy in 1973 and remained with the original owner right up until 2000, when it was privately imported to the UK by the second British owner. I bought the car privately in 2002 as the third owner at 74000 kms. Since then it has covered just 5000 kms of summer only outings, spending the UK winter months safely in dry storage.
Service History
The original Italian service book is retained, fully stamped up to 74000 kms when it was imported to the UK. All servicing in Italy from new was carried out by famous Porsche specialist Pentacar. It’s relatively short UK history is fully documented, including all receipts. A full post purchase inspection was carried out by UK marque specialists Autofarm after I purchased the car in 2002. Annual routine servicing has also been carried out by Autofarm, including a full suspension geometry check in 2004. In addition to regular servicing, a rolling road test was carried out in 2005 by renowned engine tuner Bob Watson.
Engine & Drivetrain
The engine is original factory spec, having only required routine servicing due to its very low mileage. It retains its original heat exchangers, chain tensioners (working perfectly well so why change?) and lightweight rocker covers. Only the LHS oil drain tubes have been recently replaced due to a leaking O-ring seal. The engine and drivetrain are currently running very smoothly. The Bob Watson rolling road test indicated 185 hp @ 6300 rpm and 214 Nm torque @ 5650 rpm. The engine revs freely to the red line at 7250 rpm, but was not taken above 6300 rpm during the rolling road test. A new Dansk stainless steel silencer has recently been fitted. There are a few minor oil weeps in common places eg. rocker covers, but only slight dampness and not leaking on the floor or exhaust. I debated upgrading to later spec strengthened rocker covers, but as the leakage is not causing problems and it’s not a daily driver, I decided to keep it all original. Gearbox oil has been been changed over the winter.
Chassis & Bodywork
The chassis is in excellent original condition, with no visible signs of rust anywhere. Windows, seals and chrome trim are all original and in good condition. As a further safeguard, the car has recently been professionally rustproofed with clear Waxoyl, including full underbody protection and high pressure cavity injection. The exterior paintwork is in very good condition, but not perfect due only to its age. A light cosmetic repaint would bring it up to concours standards, but I prefer to keep the original patina by simply using a high quality carnauba wax.
Suspension & Brakes
All original, except for fresh Bilstein dampers fitted at 72000 kms. A full geometry setup was carried out to standard factory spec in 2004 by Autofarm. Fuchs wheels are original and unrestored, all in very good condition with just a few minor scratches on close inspection. Currently running on modern Michelin Exalto 195/65 R15 tyres all in as new condition. Brakes are good, with fresh caliper piston seals and brake fluid. Handling is pin sharp as you would expect from a low mileage car of this class.
Interior
Interior is totally original and unmarked with virtually no sign of wear. Headlining and carpets are clean and tidy, seats are as new, dashboard is perfect, door trims are complete and near perfect. Note that the car was ordered without headrests and none are supplied, but could easily be fitted if required. Note also that it still has original static seatbelts, which could be replaced with modern inertia reel belts for safety and convenience if preferred.
