Happy Customer Report

Post by Jez 356 »

Dear all

I have just collected my 356 from PRS following the unfortunate demise of my 1600 normal motor last August. It had been on it's last regrind and Paul looked for the most cost effective solution for me.

Paul managed to dig out a suitable motor for me from his stock of spares -it is a 63 1600S, from a RHD car that was rebuilt in the 80s? by a reputable builder. Paul cleaned the block up and checked all the tolerances and installed all the ancilliaries from my dead motor. With an additional new clutch, release bearing, starter motor, engine mounts and various other bits including a new MOT, the total cost came to about half the cost of a full engine rebuild (which would have resulted in me having to sell the car).

I have to say that after owning my 356 for about 9 years, in the last 18 months after 2 visits to PRS it has completely tranformed the way the car runs and drives.

I am very happy with the result and Paul even gave me a mug - to which I did respond - what does this say about me Paul ?!!

So don't be a mug and take short cuts - get the job done properly at PRS !!!

All the best

Regards Jeremy
