Engine stand/yoke

Post by antporter »

Last time I rebuilt my engine I used my machine mart regular stand and made it fit. I am now planning a completely new engine and I have memories of the the non Porsche yoke being a real pain. So does anyone know of a resonable Porsche yoke to fit a rolling stand and not to a bench? Do the VW ones fit? I want something good but not silly money as I dont plan on building the engine more than once!!! My searches so far have been a bit fruitless.

Cheers!

I am sure I have seen a picture on here somewhere of something like that but for the life of me I can't remember where. The only VW one I have found is from VW Heritage which only has 2 mounts. I must be missing something.

The two arm ones look a little 'lightweight'. I would imagine a third arm makes things much more stable?
