1956 Chevrolet Station Wagon.


How cool is this car! This is a 56 Chevy and its pretty big, pretty mean and mighty strong. This is the perfect vehicle to tow you Salt flats race car to compete in Bonneville speed trails. Yeah right we wish... huh?
Its metallic Gold with a white roof and very cool pin striping and OG sign writing. The cars seats 6 plus people and still has room for gear.
You can drive this car home, it’s that good!!

ENGINE:
This car has been mechanically restored, and looks pretty tidy.
Its running a small block Chevy V8 (rebuilt at some point). As you can see from the pictures the engine bay is in simply awesome fully restored condition. It’s running a Rochester 4 barrel carburettor on a custom home made Edelbrock air cleaner.
This engine hauls ass, as I have had a few sneaky drives in her and can testify that it’s a strong unit!

TRANSMISSION:
The car is also equipped with a unusual 3 speed manual transmission with an original Hurst quick shifter. The car selects all forward and reverse gears with no problems. The transmission is in fine working order.

BRAKES:
The previous owner also added power brakes, which means this car stops really nice.

EXHAUST:
It’s actually running stainless exhaust with two turbo mufflers, which exit just before the rear wheels. The V8 burble is alive and well and this car simply sounds awesome at idle and even wilder when you open her up.

BODY:
The bodywork is fairly sound featuring a ratty Metalic gold paint job which is ok from about 10 feet back. This car isn’t any show queen but she has character and draws lots of attention. She has scratches, stone chips, dints, and scuffs. This car has been used and driven regularly while in the US.
The pin-striping and sign writing is original and this was genuinely used as a work wagen.
The car does have rust and I am sure a few tickles with a welder will be in order here and there. Remember this car has been on the road a long time and its been daily driving.

FLOORS:
The floors have been repaired by the previous owners, by replacing the floors with large sections of sheet steel. They are not show repairs but are strong and sound from what I can see. I believe the floors to be sound.
The rear wheel arches have some rust perforation in the lower sections, but I am told this is not a mot fail as its not structural.

INTERIOR:
The car has no door cards, just the torn original upholstery, which is worn and torn in places covered by a good old Mexican blanket. She has a Grant GT steering wheel and a HURST shifter.

CHASISS:
Is solid and sound.

SUSPENSION & WHEELS:
Running on original, OG white wall tyres and OG Moon Discs. The suspension can only be described as nicely dropped meaning this car is drivable. There is still a lot of suspension travel left in the car, which makes for a enjoyable drive.
There are a lot of spares included in the sale, including the front bumper and majority of the chrome trim.
The car is a 2007 import and all duties are paid.


This car owes me about 7000 pounds with the transport, duties and all associated costs. I had the car up for sale for 6500.00 which I thought was fair, but I got messed around and was let down by one chap.
Anyway I have put this back up for sale knowing that the car show season is about to kick off and it’s the season to sell.
I have DRASTICALLY REDUCED the reserve amount I am asking for the car so it sells quickly and someone can get a bargain.
