912E's of the World where are you

Post by Der Fudgemeister »

My Fellow E Freaks,

As you may or may not know Aric Gless of the US based 912 Registry is on a E hunt to try and locate all the remainding 912E's out there in the world. He has so far managed to trace the whereabouts of just over half the 2099 produced but alas some of those recorded are sadly no longer with us .

Aric lists the following 912E's based here in GB. #896 & #1060 with John Abbott. #381 with Steve Bradbury. #? Silver Metallic with Russel Cook. #1580 with Marcus Ford. #1916 with John Horkan. #576 with yours truly. #1254 with Nik Jarret. #1346 with Joao Mendes. #? Black with John Parrington. #164 Guards Red with Ciara Scullion and last but not least #1740 with Gervase Stringer.

Please note that Aric ONLY passed onto me the chassis numbers and owners names. Two of the above cars live in Ireland for sure but are there any others out there in Blighty? If you do then please contact me or better still Aric at GLESSARCH@aol.com with your E's details.

FWIW the most northerly based E on the planet lives in Finland :reindeer:

Northern E !

Post by eki912 »

Yes , I have it here , in Finland ! I can't be sure if it is the most northern one , though. I bet some have ended from the States to Canada too , they might be even further north !

But , it is now in (heated) storage/garage , undergoing some work.
And YES , it was below freezing point this morning !!!!
And some snow on the ground too...
Luckily my wifes car is a Cayenne , so snow is not an issue!
And she allows me to use it...

Also noticed from your list of UK owners , John Abbott has two !
Have you been able to track those owners down , or get in contact with them ?

Rick

Don't forget the silver one owned by ar_kid (Neil) from Warrington. Think it was originally brown... no idea what chassis no. is though.

He is on this forum, so pm him.

Cheers

Jon Abbot who runs VWJava (www.vwjava.com) has a Yellow one tucked away, I've spoken about it with him a few times - probably still got it.

Pic below - excuse the size!
