Out of interest, I find that you can get back in if you come via the main (home) menu, esp if you go to one of the other areas first (e.g. shop) and then back to Forum.

Whether this is just coincidence (or the fact that this takes a few seconds, time enough for things to sort themselves out) I don't know, nevertheless, it seems to work.

I have had increasing incidents/errors recently and have also found Barry's workaround. Not ideal if you generally view only the latest posts as I do.

There has been a few today.

I am looking into it.

Barry's fix is a good one.

I often just close the window - go to www.ddk-online.com and then click on the forum and voila, it's ok.

Worth a try.

Ah yes, takes me back to my old pioneering computer programming and hacking days :oops: :roll: . Perhaps not :) .

Actually my brother really is ... indirectly works for Microsoft via Lionhead.

Anybody else been plagued with this, particularly today.
php:Critical Error
Could not connect to database.
This message occurs occasionaly, but today it seems to be every other time I try and view a new post, or refresh the view new posts since last visit.
Not something I'm going to loose sleep over, just a bit of a niggle.
