Electrical gurus please
Little problem on the 12 which is driving me to distraction...
noticed the side lights on off side not working so:
1. Checked bulbs - okay
2. Checked main beam and headlights, brakelights - okay
3. Checked fuse - blown
4. checked bulbs again all okay
All earths and bulbs are fine but fuse just keeps blowing, only offside side lights.
Any ideas, thinking maybe light switch but that would blow both sides?
Maybe a nicked wire somewhere, need to look.
Not really an electrical expert so any pointers gratefully accepted.
Cheers

Yup spent 2 hours going through all contacts, cleaning with wire wool, still no joy, I think it must be a dodgy wire as the bulbs have not blown at all.
Switch seems fine too.
Just one of those painful tracking down ones, just hope there is an obvious nick or I'll end up replacing whole wire

I assume its similar to the 911, Grey with red ?
Remember it goes back as well as front.
You could substitute front wire temporarily and see if it still blows (with the old front wire disconnected at the fuse box. that way you'll know whether its front or rear wiring.

Disconnect one of the offside side lights (suggest front one first) and replace fuse - if it blows you know it is not the lamp assembly. You can eliminate the same way by disconnecting the rear, you will know then for sure it is a wiring fault. I should check particularly where the wiring passes through grommets in the body to the fronts and make sure they do and are not chafed - same for the rears.

Okay fixed it.
Only problem is I'm not sure how.
Went through everything again (used the Maestro de-bug technique) still nothing worked.
Went through one last time cleaned all contacts again and hey presto... light.
Maybe that prayer to the Porsche gods worked or just some good 'faith' from the Maestro, who knows, very odd.
Anyway all done so thanks for encouragement.
