DDK - Die Deutschen Klassiker

Hi all
You will probably guess from my log in name I have been a more regular owner of new machinery rather than classic, although I have had quite a few in the past but not Porsche. Porsche however has always been part of my daily drivers and hence currently in the shed are a new Cayenne S, (1000 miles and counting), 12 month old Boxster (my beautiful girlfriends) and just sold a 997 GT3.....awesome machine. However my longing is for two or maybe three dream vehicles. First, an early 911T, second a 356 coupe and last but actually required more than the others is a Porsche Junior Tractor ! This last one I need first due to a new house project and so it needs to be usable and ready right away to work for a living and then be restored after its duties have been performed. Does anyone out there know where I can source one ?? Please let me know. Great reading about all you guys and the fantastic machinery around. Look forward to many years on this forum.

You need to talk too John Hearn who is the Tractor Register Organiser

The only places I have seen Porsche tractors is on ebay.com & .de . After that I imagine some of th evintage tractor forums would be a good starting point and also www.mobile.de

welcome to DDK forum Stephen, i started with the new cars too but got fed up wth the depressiation and having to deal with the OPCs. Now i've seen the light and for the same money i was spending on new cars i can afford to treat myself to a small collection of porkers
i had a Cayenne s for over 3 years a fantastic car for towing.

i am lucky anough to live quite near to Sheffield where Peter Bradley has a museum of Porsche tractors (i might organise a ddk trip there),



would love to own one myself but i live in town so it would be a bit of a pain.
so for the time being i'll have to make do with my collection of 1:18 models

Thanks for the welcome. Your right about the Cayenne, as this is my second (new generation model) with PDCC which really changes the whole feeling of the car from the previous model especially when towing. Luckily enough the depreciation word did not affect the 997 GT3 as I had ordered it over 2 years ago and when it arrived another OPC customer just had to have it after I owned it for 4 months and 350 miles! (sad I know!). Nevertheless that "appreciation" exercise now allows me to develop my passion for all things earlier, hence the search for the right 3 vehicles. I have e-mailed John Hearn this morning so will let you all know what he comes up with. Now in the meantime if I could find a 69 911T in tangerine as well..........

Welcome Stephen and I hope you find your dream machines. But can I ask both you and Helen to stop using this forum to talk about that ugly SUV and if you want to talk about towing perhaps you should check out caravan weekly or something like that.....

Can I ask why specifically a 911T and not an 'E' or 'S'? Just curious. Think if I was buying now I'd probably go for a bargain 'T' and then upgrade the motor.
