Carb gasket sealant

Post by hunter »

Just got my carbs back from carbex - all rebuilt n' shiny. :)

Mrs H has me doing diy stuff at the mo but i'm hoping i can get them on over the next week or so.

Does anyone have any thoughts on gasket sealant between the carb and the manifold.

The bottoms of the carbs have been milled flat and i have bought some thin gaskets to minimise the distortion on the lugs - but i thought, a thin smear of sealant would also be a good plan.

Which is the best sealant to go for?
