tyre pressure suggestions

Post by MartinP »

Just fitted 165/15 Vredesteins to my '67 912 - any advice to what pressure they should be run at? Thanks! :)

I was told by Mike (210bhp) when I was using his '67 S also on 165's to run the fronts at 30psi and the backs at 33psi. I thought that this was a bit high but it certainly feel OK on the road. Now the 911 will be heavier than the 912 so you would have to make some adjustment on these figures.

cold pressure for a 912 on 165 15's should be 26 front, 29 rear per the manual for street driving. For long distance journeys they should be increased to 29 front 32 rear

Mine has been called into daily service at the moment and I run at 29/32 they feel fine :)

ps also always best to check them cold

hope this helps & see you tomorrow Martin
