Fibreglass Long Bonnet

Post by fetuhoe »

Just fitted a fibreglass long bonnet to an SC we have been backdating.

The bonnet has been made in a new mould and has a foam core to improve stiffness and prevent distortion at high speed.

The mould has been prepared so that the bonnet catch can be fitted in the correct position for either and early front/slam panel or a post '74 front/slam panel.

The car pictured still has a standard SC front panel

Any news on that kit?

I saw a bonnet like this on Rennspeed, but it was only for a post '74 model - still a good idea though.
