Fancy upgrading to electric windows?

Post by pmjt »

I want to replace the electric window mechanisms fitted to my 72 RS Rep with manual windows - it's currently got electric windows fitted. Does anyone fancy swapping for their manual mechanisms? Must be complete and in excellent condition.

I'm also changing the door cards which are RS lightweight type - with the cut outs for the electric window switches so they're available as well :-)

Any takers?

Failing that, anyone selling a set of mechanisms and winder handles?

Thanks in advance,

Philip

Hi Philip I will swap. Will it include the switches and all wiring?

If so I will get some pics of what I have.

Thanks

Hi Alan - excellent :-) Yes - it's the entire system including the switches - no idea about the wiring as I'm not sure how it goes into the loom - but I want to remove the entire system.

Thats great Philip.

I will get a set freshly plated for you and we can swap over. The sleeve on the bottom of the window glass should be the same so no need to remove that. I will look to see what handles I have. Any prefference?

Oooh - didn't know there would be an option :-) Something period to a '73 RS if possible?
