Magnecor Ht / Ignition Leads

Post by jaymatwhit »

I was thinking of getting some Magnecor Ht / Ignition Leads. I like the 8mm as they seem middle of the road and are blue!

But is there a preference as to which are best for a 1972 2.4Te. Also where can I get some new clips to hold them as mine are all broken.

I've been advised to go for blue. DDK members get a discount - see details in the members only section.

OK Phil de Wit of Magnecor just phoned me, I didn't realize they were only 15 mins down the road in Appleby Magna as I would of gone to see him.

The guy is basically very busy and hassled and said he didn't know about the link on here and hadn't the time to mess around with forums especially as it was in the members only section.

Phil also did not know which leads fit my car as they only have the early 2.0L and the 2.7L listed and that they would have to custom make the leads. I explained that the 2.7 fits as per Bootsy info which he agreed to supply warning me that the coil lead is very short.

Phil does know about ddk now and he did give me the 10% discount stated. So the price was £119.69 - 10% + VAT + P&P.

I know I am only a newbie (hate that word) but I was wondering if we could automatically join as members the suppliers that offer us discounts etc. Also I think it would be a good idea to send Phil a covering e-mail about ddk with link to members section to avoid future confusion.
