Ok I have my new Prototipo steering wheel but I need a new gear knob to complete the new look. . I would like to stick to something fitting the age of the car and not too modern. Any one have any preferance/ideas............?

Of your options, it has to be No4 for me, but forget all those and buy the billet copy - I'm quite taken with that! :drunken:

There was a member on 914club.com who made copies of the 917 Balsa laminate knob, which was a nice idea -but buggered if I can find it now...

I am liking that. Almost same finish as spokes on Prototipo. Only fly in ointment is I dont like using Ebay US. I have had some bother with a couple of items/sellers in the past.

May bite bullet and go for it as it is fitting with Prototipo and original gear knob, but other possabilities are most welcome.

I know people have bought from this guy before (but that's not an endorsement) :)
Just make sure you get a left-hand-drive one

If you can't get a good original or repro one then it's the billet one for me, it's nice to see that dogleg 1st pattern on top :) .

But then I guess shiftknobs are as much about personal choice as steering wheels are.
