Oil tank gasket

Post by Ian Gunney »

Collective wisdom of DDk'ers sought

just putting the original 6 cylinder oil tank on the '14 and was wondering whether there should be a gasket between the oil filter console (the part that bolts to the tank) and the tank itself. According to the parts diagram there isn't, but I was wondering how the flow into and out of the filter is separated if there is no gasket?

thoughts?

Hi Ian

You asked what goes "between the oil filter console (the part that bolts to the tank) and the tank itself", thats the rubber O-rings job

There is a gasket between the 72 oil console/tank
