Given that I seem to have the 'S' Appearance Package, would you go for the 'S' bumper ($$$ ?) or keep the standard bumper as fitted.
I intend doing some poor ground clearance regularity events, but Gary71 says his is still well in the air
Standard as fitted :-
Lightweight_911 has the 'S' on his lovely clean white 'T' :-
Thanks for your views.

I understand the steel S bumpers are a bit obscure now and £££ can add up. I tried getting a new one when my car was painted as it has undergone some weight reduction of it's own. In the end patching it up was far the better option!
I guess there are some glass fibre alternatives out there. I'd stick with S rather than the RS style though.
Despite the flattering photos, my bonnet could do with a repaint - not bad, but marked over the years.
If I do this during the summer (or whenever), then that is the time to have the bumper swapped for an 'S' and painted to match.

If you do start looking for a S type front, many members a very happy with Rutherford GRP fronts, I've seen a lot of cars with them and they are very good.
I have fitted several Rutherford Bumpers and they are good. The only thing to bear in mind is if you want to fit the original trim you will need to counter sink the bolt holes (on the rear) for the trim T bolts. This is due to the glass fibre being very thick.
I have a Rutherford Eng 'S' bumper on my car. When replacing the RS item that was on before I chose the S bumper as I like the look. However, had I an original non-S I certainly wouldn't have changed it.
Aesthetically speaking, I must say that my favorite is the non-S. It makes more "sense" with the rest of the car...
Personally, I don't like the "lip"...
But, hey, it's only my opinion! As Larry Flint used to say: "Opinions are like *ss-holes, everybody has one"!!!

I prefer the S bumper; however, the choice really is one of personal preference. Your car looks great as is, and will continue to look great with the S bumper.

I must admit that I much prefer the non-S bumper look - I agree with Peter - I wouldn't replace a perfectly good non-S bumper unless it was a concours-type car or you were a stickler for Factory-original specs.

I actually like the current non-S bumper, and having again looked at the 'lip', I do like the simplicity of the non-S curve shape.
I am certainly not going to rush in to changing it now - too many other things that I could use the money for
