356a panels and parts
356a front bonnet, no rust, original metal pretty solid but lumpy at the nose - pics to follow
offers ???
356a doors - i have a selection of doors, a pair of pretty solid pair needing minimal prep and i doubt any actual metal work
- average pair that will need bottoms repaired
- crap pair that will some work including bottom repairs
offers ???
356a engine lid, totally solid but looks rough, due to old stripped paint and surface rust...100% solid though, available with grill or without
offers ???
obviously i`ll get some pics sorted as soon as i can, but potential interesteeees, let it be known

PM sent
car is not for sale, having spent a lot of time and money importing good solid doors, bonnets etc from the US to replace missing parts......
.....i then managed to locate all the original parts from the car
although they are in a worse state that the parts i`m selling, i feel i must keep the original panels and repair them rather than use the better parts i`m now offering for sale
hence, someone is gonna get some good US solid parts without the hassle of locating, shipping, paying taxes etc, etc....

looking good but you do need to make a trolly like i made. it;s made working on the car so easy.. I wanted to make for ages and then NickT made one and it got me out there to make one also..
Nick will tell you how much it is a god send..
I got offered another 1954 356 Pre A Project the other day still thinking about it.. $5000 which is good but the car is a bit of a mess.. like makes your A look like a Show Queen

dont get me wrong........................
but if the original doors are really, really bad then by the time they are repaired they will be 50 % new metal anyway.........
why not use your good doors, and weld in/ swap the serial numbers off the poor originals !
Result:
twenty mins work per door, and still matching numbers on the car ....promise I wont tell

i really dont care too much about numbers to be honest....i just love the fact the car parted company with many of its parts about 15yrs ago and i have managed to find them all apart from the engine and re-unite themRustbucket wrote:dont get me wrong........................

i`m taking it all back to original paint where i can and all repaires that have to happen will be clear coated....like an open scar, so to speak
so any new metal will stand out as being just that (although plan is to use actual original 356 metal cut from the worst doors where ever i can, so even though its replaced metal, its replaced with metal from the same batch so to speak
plan is to make the car a constant reminder of the life it has led, on full display for all too see
