Hi, I have a question, what do you suggest to stroke and modify my 2.2 or to swap a 3.2, I want some improvement but what do you suggest?
What should I change if I go for the 3.2 or fits with no further issues? , I'm thinking on buying a "salvage title" 80's porsche and do all the swaps possible or to improve the car as it is.
Swap the 3.2 and 915box in if you want the grunt (First... add brakes)
Not done it but I believe its not impossible
If when you want to sell you have an original spec plus a high power pack to appeal to a wider audience
Cheers
Hig
I used to have a 72 911 I drove every day... Now I have projects...
'73 911 Track car ...being put back together
'59 Conv D... refit underway...Upholstery done !!
I'm in the middle of ripping out a 2 litre from my 69 911T and replacing it with a 3.6 engine and G50 box.
Buying a 3.2 or 3.6 can be a bit hit and miss but I bought a 3.6 for £2500 and recently a G50 for £1000 of ebay. So if you have the time and patience you can save a lot of money shopping round for the parts.
The car is being prepared in Scotland due to the lower labour costs and a guy I know who has built me two e types in the past is very good.
There are lots of threads on DDK to help with the tricky bits
Good Luck, if you need any help just let me know

Let's say that you can find a 84 SC crashed on a side for $6,000 usd... and yet use the susp, engine, brakes, etc.... But I heard that if I still want to use the original wheels, I have to use the 930 brakes as upgrade, is that true?
Funny enough I'm looking at thjat too. Have been told that turbo brakes which fit 15" wheels are the way to go but I'm no expert. I would like to know as well so keep me posted
