Southern breakfast run this Sunday

That day will soon come when the salters break ranks and ruin our fun. Let's get some flat six action before it's too late

If the weather holds how about we meet at Wisley for 7.30 departure this Sunday?

Could do our usual route and find somewhere 'new' to have breakfast. Or we could head to the Sussex coast if anyone knows a decent spot.

Yes, I should be OK for this.

What about a circular route ending up back at Brooklands?
We could check out the new Mercedes Benz World.
Don't know what time they open but there's a cafe there.
Might do breakfast.

Mike's been, maybe he can tell if it's worth a trip.
I think the car park would look good filled with Porsche's.

Nick, as long as said 10 year old won't tell their mum that you drive 'like you stole it' i can't see a problem

Guess we'll need another rendezvous after Wisley. Where's shall we meet and what eta?

Its Rememberance Sunday so wear your Poppies! I shall be at the Cenotaph working so sadly can't join you

Mercedes World at Brooklands is worth a look as not only is it a fantastic futuristic building, but there are some beautiful old mercs there, including a prototype gullwing. All the new stuff including an SLR and Maybach.

The test track is in use with demo drivers showing off the cars, I think you can book rides, don't know what the queues for that would be like on a Sunday though.

There's a cafe, and full blown restaurant with terrace upstairs.

Well, if we're trying to do the Seaside and Brooklands how about a start at the coast and a blast up to Weybridge.

We could meet at, say, Worthing Pier. Drive up the A24 past Horsham, Dorking, Leatherhead & a bit of M25 to the old circuit.
Look around the Mercedes Benz World and split for home.

How about a start by the beach at 9.00am and get to Brooklands when they open? (Opens at 10.00am) Eat at the MB cafe.

Or start at Brighton and up the A/M23, though that's not as nice a road.

I can give you some nice roads from Brighton to the A3

Or from Worthing using the A29, its a great road!

I'll bow to Nick's knowledge of Sussex roads.
Someone pick a pier and I'll be there.
I suggested Worthing or Brighton because we can all find the sea front.
So Maderia Drive or Worthing sounds good to me.

Brooklands MBW opens at 10.00am on Sunday but only for 'viewing' the first hour.
Sunday trading means you can't buy an SLR coupe 'till 11.00.
That might scupper an early breakfast at the old oval. I don't know whether that applies to the cafe or not (guess so).
Never the less, I bet we can get bacon butties somewhere along the way.

Is anyone else up for this?

How about a start in Worthing, then A24 to Ashington, B2133 to Alfold, then either 281 to Guildford or back to A29 then onto A24 at Beare Green, Box Hill, M25?

We should ask Martin (MdR) for a good meeting point in Worthing, perhaps a place for breakfast?
