over $75000 project

Ugh, this has to be the worst creation from a 914 I have seen. 928 rear end grafted in too.

was up for sale several times, but didn't sell (not really surprisingly, IMHO)

I asked the seller for the original VIN, but no answer

That car would make children and adults cry .

Front end looks like a nissan 300zx, Rear end looks like a bastardised MG TF, Interior looks like it was made with hannibal lechters skin suit offcuts, Rear decklid may be off a low budget speed boat.

And they have the Gall to have a licence plate saying ACE on it.

Should be under the category of "I need to have my tools confiscated".
This is what happens when the Lacks power brigade get hold of classics.

Rant over. I need to lie down in a dark room with soothing music.

Agreed. In a similar vein have a look at this.....http://members.cox.net/guy.thompson/index.html.

What baffles me is that it looks like a very tidy job therefore (presumably) they know what they're doing. But check the specification, brakes in particular. Standard 914-4. !!!! With 300 hp !!!!
I know they don't have bends in the US but they still have to stop somewhere don't they ?
