911 S ???
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/PORSCHE-911S-1968 ... dZViewItem
Anyone know of this car ?
The reason I ask is that a long time ago a good friend of mine owned a 1968 car bearing the very same reg. no.
90% sure it was right hand drive though !!

That does not look like a 68 to me, or at least some parts have been changed. I would want a much closer look at that car.

It has flared arches, LWB door panels and pockets, LWB horn grills and font and rear indicators, LWB door window frames, the rear overriders should have rubber covers, wrong engine cover and grill. Most 68 Ss had the S bumper and sill trims, this one has narrow trims.
Alan is right, this car needs very careful inspection. Of course it could be a LWB 69 model registered in 68, can anyone see the torsion bar covers in the silly little pictures?

This car is only at 10k with no reserve. Only careful inspection would tell if it was a Kn*ackered rogue or a potential bargain. Not to mention the odd situation with the number plate.
Whilst on the subject of S s there is a black 2.2S that has been around for a while now for low 20s. Either there is something wrong with it or the market is suffering from its usual end of season malaise.

Page 128 of this month''s 911PW. Matching numbers, 62K miles, black, spent 12k in last 18 months etc. £22.995. 07703 173538.nick-moss wrote:Where is that Keith?there is a black 2.2S that has been around for a while now for low 20s
Thing is that car was on e bay several times around september for similar money. The way the market is it must have some serious problems to still be hanging around at that money. Wonder if anybody has been to see it?
