Parts for a 1973 911e Targa

Post by Jon Kent »

Hi all,
I've recently bought the above car in need of some TLC (and money!).
Does anyone know a source for an S style front bumper for this car ?
Also sources for all rubber seals, wheels inc. spare (? - should be 6x15 but currently on 7x15 Fuchs), front seats in black leather (currently SC ones), Durant mirrors (SC also - yuk !).
Car is a Californian import, bought in the UK, now in Luxembourg.
I drove 462miles to get it back......wonderful !

Best R's,

Jon

Are Durant mirrors now available direct from Porsche? They mention a convex mirror that looks kinda similar on their classic website,,,

Thanks guys.
Yeah, I've used ForestFine before for my 964s. Good service.
Not sure about the Durant mirrors supply, but I've seen copies on EBAY.
Problem is, I don't know the realistic prices......
6x15 Fuchs wheels seem a fortune, even for untidy ones.
There's a german company on EBAY.DE offering many parts (911Teile). Including copy dash tops in Vinyl for +/-130euros !
I think I'll try there & then make a list of remaining pieces.
I'll let you know how I get on....

I've got a Durrant Mirror if you need one - perfect condition, fair price, came off the RHS of my 911.

PM me if you're interested.

Genuine Durrant mirrors are available from Porsche, but they are very expensive (£200?). Replicas are useless.

BTW a 73 LHD car would have had a SS flag mirror, not a Durrant.

Expect to pay £125 per flat 6" Fuchs, probably needing refurb.

73 e bits

Post by Jon Kent »

Yes Bert, that's the lady.
I bought a 964 Cup pipe from her then noticed she has a lot of bits for the 911e....she offered a discount for purchases outside EBAY. Though I checked last night on EvilBAY and couldn't find 911teile offers. I'll send her a mail.....hope she hasn't disappeared.
