1972 911s (how many)

hi anyone know how many 2.4 911s were sold in britain in 1972, and how many are left,is there aregister?

I have a list of RHD 911 S models made in 72 and 73.

It is estimated that approx 80 were imported over those two years and I have some information on approx 40 that are known to survive.

I dont think there is a list of E and T models that I know of.

Time to make a UK T&E registry? I'd be up for that, and could get someone to make an online form pretty easily.

What information would be required - anything else apart from:

Current owner:
Whereabouts:
Type:
Year:
Reg:
Chassis number:
Colour:
Years owned:
Details of previous owners (if known):
Additional notes:

???

Seems strange that there isn't already one. How does it stand with data protection etc?

Ahh... I thought you meant 911s as in plural of 911!

Do you know of an S that you can add to the list?

Why not have a ddk car registry?
Only problem is that quite a few people are nervous about their car reg being online for fear of cloning.
AS for Data Protection Act I think that covers personal information so perhaps the only contact info should be a ddk username.

Also should add car condition, engine no and mileage.

I think that's a good idea, and I'd he happy to get involved. I reckon there's no need for reg number anyway - just chassis number as on the E Registry...
