Came across this one on the Spyderclub forum

Seems there is now a second supplier of Speedsters and Spyders at Thruxton circuit as well as Martin & Walker who have been there for many years

Brave of them!

The Technics is the best 550 anywhere in the world as far as I know..

They even make the chassis for restoration of originals!

Kind regards

spyder replicas

Depends what you want.

There is a firm in the states that does a real replica of a 550.......right down to the 60mm drums. The demonstrator has a fibreglass body though.
But they say they can do an ali body.

This is the most accurate replica I have seen. I cant find the shortcut at the momment but if someone really wants it I will look harder.

The technics (martin walker) car is ok, but it is like most of the others a kit car. (i dont have a problem with kit cars by the way)

I would be very surprized indeed if they had supplied a replacement chassis for a real 550. Their chassis has coil over double wish bone front suspension for a start.

Remember a real 550 is worth £350,000 + a 550A even more and providence is a major thing with cars of that value. A chassis would be repaired very carefully and the fact that it had been exstensively repaired kept very quiet.

Looks like they're just importing fully built cars (or cars minus engines) from Beck and Chamonix.

Hope they've got SVA fully covered :?
