Classic motor Carriages

Post by VWRobert »

So as a newbie to this forum i just wanted to ask if anyone over here has had or owns a CMC speedster kit.

If so are there any peculiarities i should know before i take delivery of my replicar?. Ive been told that its all there and from initial photos it seems so. Its registered on the US title as 1967 2 door VW, im not sure how that will equate to registering it over here with the rules as they are.

I must say im quite excited about making a start on the project its something new to me.

Any help and information would be greatly appreciated

Hello and welcome,
You have probally already done this but if you go over to the speedster owners club (www.speedsterowners.com), there are 2 cmc bulid manuals to download - might be worth a look.
Good luck with the project.

Thanks for the info but yes that was my first port of call, happily i have the original Manual with the car. I was just wanting any actual experiences anyone may have had with their projects. Doesnt look like its a common kit.

Interesting to see where they got the moulds in the History of speedster forum though.
