Firstly, I will apologise for lowering the intellectual tone of this forum with this pretty daft question...

I have just bought a replacement badge kit for the bonnet of my new T and the rubber backing does not fit around the badge properly. It is too small. Is there some sort of technique to get it to fit?

the usual trick for ruuber that is too small is heat it in a cup of very hot water, makes it much softer and stretchier, try that...

Yes that normal... get the rubber warmed up and stretch that sucker round the emblem.

When you screw it down the it will stick in place no worries.
