where do i get them from? and how much am i looking at?

I have some, which although definitely usable, have seen better days and need some work..veery cheep!
they are the 1.7/1.8L types..

my engines a 2056cc lol

so not sure what size i need.

but i was thinking new as the ones on the car aint to bad, could be welded

you'll need to mod 914 items quite abit, the flanges on TT stainless stuff are type 25 different to 914.

Also remember 914 one will be much longer as the engine and gearbox are wrong/right way around

worth seeing Ritchie first, I had asked about 're-piping' the internals, there are no fins in there like a beetle heat ex so it should be pretty straight forward cut open the shroud put to pipes weld shroud shut. You could just get him to do some J tubes instead be far cheaper?

He's not far from you, Redditch, he's not as expensive as you might think. Plus he's obviously familiar with the setup and the car.

They come up occasionally on Pelican, secondhand.

yeah i was thinking just j tubes. as when i get the company car the porsche will be for weekend and sunny day use only.

so its not like i need the heat but it would be nice to have.

basically what's under those shrouds are just J tubes! nothing special, they have no fins or casting. Carefully cut the shrouds off, get TT to match the piping then weld the shrouds back over the SS inards.
