Fuchs wheels - inner tubes needed?

Post by super_golfer »

I've just got hold of a set of Fuchs wheels for my 67 912 - tell me, do I need to fit inner tubes or not? Also, what tyres do people recommend (5.5 wheels).

It all depends on the rims themselves, ie: have they have the bead on the inside to hold the sidewall of the tyre.

They were originally designed to use tubes but opinion varies...

I personally have used 5.5's & 'deep dish' 6's for 10+years with tubeless tyres with no problems whatsoever.

I've used deep 6" Fuchs without tubes for a couple of years without problem .
I've also been known to test their tyre retention abilities. :)
