Rally of the Lakes- Killarney Ireland

Post by Sean »

Before any one says this should be in the events section...I just want to gauge if the members are interested first

A few of us with early 911's both in Ireland and the UK are thinking of getting together for a weekend of driving and a few pints here in Ireland. I know some really good roads in the south west..Cork and Kerry that were built for Porsches.

In May its the 25th anniversary of the rally of the lakes in Killarney...for those that haven't been its an ace spot. Nicks mate Jim Avis will be racing his ST and i'm sure you know others.

Would anyone else fancy coming over over for the trip..please let me know as I don't mind trying to organise something with the club. I'll be keeping it very real....ie...no 5star hotels and black ties

So..just for an intial gauge of interest can people let me know here.

.....edited to also mention that Nick will be navigating another fab 911

I'm going! :D I'm less than an hour away from the Swansea ferry so I've no excuse.
For anyone who's interested, I think there are about five of us going at the moment and I have only actually met one of the group (not Sean)! So if anyone's unsure you can rest assured you won't be a stranger tagging along with a small clique. Most of us are new to the Porsche scene and eager to get out there and enjoy them. It should be a great weekend and a lot of fun.
Oh and I only got to know Sean via e-mail etc because we were both after the same car and he beat me to it. Still managed to become friends though.
What a long rambling reply, a simple yes would have done. :P

I don't know where we are staying, but there will be 5 of us. My brother Peter will be navigating for Jim, so it's a family holiday!
