Radio speakers

Post by JohnS »

I want to fit some decent speakers in my 73 911. A local (fairly up market shop) has suggested I fit Focal speakers and woofers (french make) - slim. But the speaker looks like it will only fit in the bottom front of the door (where the speaker hole is -which also holds a wiring bracket). Not only that if I fit the speaker there and put the front bin back it virtually covers up the speaker! Shop suggested putting perforations in the front bin or mounting the speaker in the bin itself. Don't want to cut them!
Any suggestions please on where to fit the speakers and what make.
Comments please
Thanks

If you do a search here on DDK there was a recent topic on this. I suggest fitting the rear speaker shelf. They are, in my opinion the most factory "looking" way to add two speakers.
